The houses are not attached. The large home faces one street and a 2nd smaller apartment was added over the double car garage and faces the other street. The houses do not share gas, electricity, water, but they are on the same sewer line. You would have to have the property split by the city assessors office. You could not sell them separately without separate tax I.D. numbers.Can a person that owns a house that a guest house is added sell each home separately?
I think you would have to survey your land to make sure you can turn it into two different lots and turn the guest house into a property itself.
You can sell them separately if you are able to split the property.
Only if the township or county allows the split. Find out the rules from your township.
