What is the Calif. Electrical Code to add a circuit from one Guest House to a Horse stall 8 feet distance?

There is no 'California code', but the is a national code. It is called the NEC or National Electrical Code. additionally there will be local codes for your city or county.

You should consult an electrical contractor who is familiar with the requirements in your area.

Because this is a separate building you will need a separate disconnect for it, and probably a separate ground rod

HEY SPARKY

it depends on where you are, I was reqiured to install a seperate ground rod for a sperate buiding (a garage) in Oakland Ca..What is the Calif. Electrical Code to add a circuit from one Guest House to a Horse stall 8 feet distance?
Charles is half right. There is no Cal. code, And there are local codes as well. But you do not want to add any ground rods, one reference point only. You need to come off the main panel with a circuit or two (depending on load). The best way is to dig down 18 inches on run a conduit underground from panel to shed, or horse house. Make sure you run a ground wire too. You just need a light and convenence outlet circuit.. right? One 20 amp should do it. 3 # 12 AWG wires (black, white, and green).
