district 1 between pham ngu lau, de tham , %26amp; bui vien streets you can get rooms in many places for under $10.. down in the back alley [ they are safe] you can get rooms i believe for $4..any taxi driver can take you there.. its the best location for a first timer to sai gon...In Vietnam Ho Chi Ming city, which area can find a cheap guest house, hostel? around what price?
Bu Dien Street, around the corner from Santo's Pizza. Guest houses for $5 a night. (District 1, near the Metropole Hotel)
district 3 is quite good have a look in lonely planet guide book when your over there though i did and it was arond half price of lonely planet guide because you can batta all places over there are cheap anyway around 12 us per night
