It depends on what kind of router you have. If you have Linksys you can buy bigger antennae that get better range. Router makers also make boosters that can be plugged into the wall to extend your coverage. You can also buy an external WIFI antenna for your laptop off the internet. They use to sell booster devices that should help, but your best bet is most likely to upgrade your router with one that's got better range.

Several options:
1. Move the router so it's closer to the guest house.
2. Run some cat 5 cable to the guest house and put in another router there
3. Replace your current router with a Wireless-N model, which giver better coverage.
