How can I be a great house guest? (Like, can you give me some tips on guest etiquette?)?

Thank you very much! How can I be a great house guest? (Like, can you give me some tips on guest etiquette?)?
Bring food and booze.

Clean up after yourself.

Always flush twice.

Help with chores (cooking, cleaning, etc).

Bring a gift.

Be polite, respect their home and their routines.

Don't roll your eyes if they want to play Monopoly every stinking night.

Don't overstay your welcome (fish and house guests start to smell after 3 days). How can I be a great house guest? (Like, can you give me some tips on guest etiquette?)?
I have a lot of guests, I appreciate it most when they give me space, and occupy themselves with a book, or laptop, etc. Helping to set the table is great.

Taking us out (or offering is nice) if they are spending a few days, and once in a while picking up the cost of some things at the store or vegetable market is appreciated.

Asking to be dropped somewhere alone (mall or something) or going there on their own is a relief if it is a long stay. And I disagree with the person who said taking your shoes off at the door. Do what your host does, not what YOU do necessarily. Shoes on or off is the custom of the host.

Making your bed when you get up, is proper. Having some ideas about things you'd like to do is also appreciated, so that the host doesn't have to play 20 questions each day about what could be the day's excursion or entertainment.

These along with the other ideas given will make you an A #1 Perfect houseguest.
Look after yourself, but be sociable when social is offered. Make sure you have a book or paper handy so it does ot look like you need entertaining all the time. Make sure you eat enough but no more than your share. Offer to help with the washing up but if your host says no, then take no for a answer. Go to bed when you host does. Take a small present Like tablecloth when you get there, and if you drink booze. If the people are hard up then offer to take food and ask them what they want.
clean up after your self, remember your manners - please and thank you's never go astray. take your shoes off at the door. use a coaster for your drink! offer to help with making dinner, and with clearing up/ doing the washing up.
Contribute without taking over.

Appreciate any attention you get. And make drinks.
