How do I get my guest house registered with rent control so I can legally rent it?

It is permitted as an accessory living quarters, but I installed a kitchen without a permit. How do I get my guest house registered with rent control so I can legally rent it?
This may be a problem depending on how strict your town is...As of now you are not zoned properly to rent this out or occupy it full-time. Any agencies that deal with subsidies will certainly frown upon this...You would have to get re-zoned to convert that to rental use and receive your CO.. Some towns are rough--the zoning board will have to determine if that use is permitted-and if not you will need a variance---this requires a hearing where the board considers the rules and ramifications of granting a variance---your neighbors will also be called and if they object-you are dead and stinking.....Inquire with your building dept.and see whats involved-do not mention you installed the kitchen---you could be fined for working without a permit and forced to rip it out....I have dealt with zoning issues--they could be tough--and many times come down to who knows who on the board.....I think you would be better off doing a casual rental-but that could become sketchy too -if someone catches on.How do I get my guest house registered with rent control so I can legally rent it?
The city inspector would be able to help you. You can call in and ask anonymously.
Since we don't know where you live, it's hard for us to answer your question.

My best guess would be that you contact your city rent control board.
Tami i had answered the question from your first time.
