Is it legal to use a private apartment as a Guest House? Also is it allowed to partition the rooms for subletting? If so then how many rooms are allowed for subletting with the owner staying in the apartment. Anyone can help me ? No, you are not allow to do so as a guest house. You may want to check the URA website for details. http://www.ura.gov.sg
Partitioning is fine as long as you do not affect the structure of the building. As far as how many can stay, it is a grey area. I have seen apartments that got 20 people staying in it. :-(
