Can I legally rent out my guest house, permitted as an accessory living quarters?

The unit is permitted as accessory living quarters. I was told by a judge in court that I couldn't rent this guest house because I wasn't under rent control, and was told I had to refund the renter all the rent paid. Does this sound crazy or not. How do I get registered under rent control, and why do I have toCan I legally rent out my guest house, permitted as an accessory living quarters?
Why are you asking here? Talk to your city rental control/permitting agency. Can I legally rent out my guest house, permitted as an accessory living quarters?
Tami.

A judge told you that you can not legally rent the quarters because ';it is not a permitted separate living area';.

An accessory living quarters is nothing more than a fancy word of a permitted add on is all.

Now you can rent it as a room for rent under you own home and you do not need renters control over that.
and you aren't believing the judge? I don't believe we have the whole story, nor will comment once a judge has ruled. Best to do as the judge has instructed.
try this site (i've used it): http://topfin5.notlong.com/4AAgfMp
It sounds crazy but I'm sure the judge is correct.
