Where can we find a lodging/pension or guest house in the heart of Bangkok which offers a very low price?

Out travel is set on November 27, 2008. Since we are on budget travel we want to get a modest accommodation which is safe but the price is low ranging around 6$ to 10$ per night.Where can we find a lodging/pension or guest house in the heart of Bangkok which offers a very low price?
khao san road defintely the place, you'll easily find somewhere for that budget, i use chart guesthouse its really nice the people that run it are lovely! there's ridiculously cheap internet in the road too as well as everything else, including other backpackers, that you might need!Where can we find a lodging/pension or guest house in the heart of Bangkok which offers a very low price?
The Sawasdee group hotel/guest houses are not bad.Check out Sawasdee Smile Inn in Soi Rongmai at the end of Soi Rambuttri not far from the river %26amp; Khaosan Road.A quiet place with a good area to sit ,eat,watch movies,and book tours.The rooms are small ,abit worn but singles as cheap as 350 baht a night for air-con and private bathroom.There is usually a special promotion if you stay 3,5 0r 7 nights.It's away from the noisy Khaosan Rd but only a 5 minute walk.
try khao san road. there are alot of hotels there. try the at home guesthouse.


i stayed there last week and i paid 250baht for a night for a fan room. they also have wifi.
